The handcrafted purple guitar plectrum is a testament to artistry and functionality. This pick, known as the Aphaia, is inspired by the goddess who had a sanctuary on Aegina in the Saronic Gulf, linked to themes of fertility and agricultural cycles. Crafted with care, this guitar pick is more than just a tool; it’s an extension of your creativity and musical expression.
The Aphaia plectrum is designed to fit comfortably in your hand, measuring point-to-point at 44 mm. This precise sizing ensures that it feels natural when held, allowing musicians to focus solely on their performance. Available in three thicknesses—6mm, 9mm, or 12mm—each plectrum provides a unique playing experience, suited to different musical styles and preferences. Additionally, you can choose from an array of colors including Purple, Blue, White, Black, and Green, making it a visually stunning accessory to your guitar.
When placing your order, please indicate your color and thickness preferences in the order notes section. If preferences are not specified, the artisan will select the colors and thicknesses, ensuring that you receive a unique piece tailored to your desires. The durability of UHMWPE material not only enhances its longevity but also contributes to its superior sound quality, allowing your instrument to shine with every strum.
As you embark on your musical journey, let the handcrafted purple guitar plectrum inspire creativity and elevate your playing. Whether you are a professional musician or a passionate hobbyist, this exquisite pick is designed to enrich your experience, delivering both aesthetic pleasure and practical functionality.

Best picks ever!!! I have a hard time holding regular picks after a few mins my hand hurts. Not with purple plectrums!! Can play for hours no pain.
Slightly larger, much thicker, and far sharper than all my previous triangular picks, the Aphaia is likely the only plectrum I'll use on bass guitar from here on out. When I choose to use a pick, it perfectly mixes the comfort, precision, and aggression I look for.
I love these! I plan on owning them all. They are so comfortable and I never have to worry on my grip!
Just got myself one of these and I have to say that I'm more than pleasantly surprised. They're light, they have a warm tone, and it's surprising fluid from string to string. When sweep picking with a regular pick, you do feel somewhat of the harsh pluck, but with this thing, it flows so smoothly from one string to the next. I love it. I'll probably get another one.
The only negative is that it since it's a pretty large piece chunk of material, it makes a clunk noise when you accidentally hit your neck or pickup while picking. But that said, the negative isn't bad enough to bump this thing down a star.
I am the proud owner of the Aphaia pictured. I own many Purple Plectrums, but this one is in a class unto itself. The material is the same amazing UHMPWE material that graces most of Purple Plectrums fine picks. The size/shape is perfect as you can easily grip the pick so your hand is relaxed, and the point does most of the work (the bevels are phenomenal, by the way). The thickness (I opted for 9mm) is again, perfect. It gives you something to grip on to, but the points come in at a fine taper. The added optics in each of the corners top this off making the pick equal parts useful and a depiction of high art. If price is a consideration please contemplate this; this pick will last far longer than anything you are probably using. Now multiply that times 3 as even if you could take on the Herculean task of dulling one of the tips, you would still have another two points to go through. Also, if you fear losing this pick…it would be difficult based on the size and shape alone. However; I find that if you spend a little extra on anything, you will be more aware of where it is and will be far less likely to misplace it. Just some food for thought there. In closing, I cannot say enough good things about Aphaia or Purple Plectrums. Try this pick, you will be most pleased that you did!
